We make three basic down garments: the Inner Parka, the Outer Parka and the Down Vest. Think of them as starting points rather than finished products. Each one is cut, filled and made in our Edmonton shop.

The everyday
winter parka.

The Inner Parka is a proper winter down parka built for everyday cold, backpacking, four-season climbing, ski touring and the mountains. For most people, this is the Kluane that covers the vast majority of winter days. It is shorter and more compact than the Outer, but there is nothing lightweight about what it is built to do.

The Outer Parka is made for real winter. In really bitter cold, this is the one that keeps you warm and comfortable. It carries substantially more down than the Inner, adds more length and coverage, and surrounds you with a large down-filled hood.

The Inner is already a serious winter parka and is the right choice for most winter conditions. Choose the Outer when you want substantially more insulation, more length and more coverage for truly bitter cold.

A proper winter parka for most conditions. Shorter and more compact than the Outer, with 225 g of 900-fill Canadian white goose down in a medium.

Outer / 02

Built for severe cold. Longer, roomier and carrying roughly 390 g of 900-fill Canadian white goose down in a medium, plus a full down hood and substantially more coverage.

The Down Vest is essentially the Inner Parka stripped down to its core. It uses the same 900-fill Canadian white goose down and the same basic construction approach, without the sleeves.
